Please talk to your teenagers about driving responsibly throughout the neighborhood!  There have been some near misses and irresponsible driving antics lately.  The consequences for those behind-the-wheel stunts can have serious results.

You are encouraged to call the Chesterfield Co. Police Complaint Line (318-8084) to report inappropriate driving practices and ask that police officers patrol our neighborhood periodically. Citizens can report concerns about speeders in their neighborhood or situations that pose persistent traffic safety hazards by calling the hotline from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Safety for our children is always a priority.

 

August 29, 2011~ LOST DOG.....Please help Jim McCullough on Carbon Hill find his sister's Westie terrier! "Murphy" is all white and will come to the words "treat" or "car" but he is a go-er rather than a come-er!!!! If found, please call Jim at 922-1994 or return the pup to 2120 Carbon Hill Dr.

We have had additional reports of "break-ins" in garages and cars in our neighborhood. These "break-ins" have occurred in unlocked vehicles, garages and sheds between 11 p.m.- 2 a.m. generally speaking. Descriptions include two boys with crew cuts that were spotted last night off Framar and Chartstone leaving an unlocked garage about 11:00 p.m. Some believe that these kids are looking for beer or wine. However, a camera was stolen from a car on Wiesinger several weeks ago.
Earlier reports have included occurrences on Trenadier Circle and Wiesinger Lane. We are encouraging all residents to make sure their homes and vehicles are locked. Please report any suspicious behavior or activity to Chesterfield Police! I have been told by the police department that they would much rather come out and find nothing than not being called at all. Again, please don't hesitate to call the police if you suspect any unusual activities. Please also leave front porch lights and post lights on throughout the night so that suspects can't lurk in the dark places of our yards.
Lastly, parents of teenagers and young adults, please check their things for items that you know don't belong to them. Be cognizant of any behavior changes that you may notice due to alcohol, drug or inhalant use. If you have a gut feeling that something isn't right, it usually isn't. Please be vigilant in keeping track of your teenager's whereabouts especially when they are with other kids. Two or three teenagers will do what one would most likely never do alone.

PASS the word...Dog found today, August 23, 2011 on Framar near Salisbury Rd. Please call the Sneads at 794-4869 or 839-6279. The dog is described as a small blonde cocker spaniel mix. The dog's collar has the number 288-6644 on it and the name "Callie." If you know who this dog belongs to, please give Allison or John Snead a call ASAP!
