Architectural Review

Thinking about a new fence, shed, outbuilding or major renovation to your house?

Over 90% of the requests made to the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) involve sheds and fences. The approval process is usually very straightforward and painless when the homeowner has contacted the ARC prior to construction. This enables us to review the guidelines that we will apply to the project and the documentation that will be needed for approval. There’s nothing more frustrating for the homeowner or the ARC than to have to review a project AFTER construction and have it rejected when it does not meet the guidelines. To help avoid this situation, in the near future we will be publishing the guidelines that we use for most construction scenarios in the neighborhood.

While sheds and fences are the predominate request, all decks, gazebos, porches, clotheslines, and any architectural changes to a dwelling or accessory building also need approval.
