Welcome to Roxshire
Originally an 18th century mining village—and later a pivotal railroad junction—Midlothian, Virginia has since transitioned into a suburban, residential community.
Roxshire is an established, sought-after neighborhood of nearly 800 homes on wooded lots built in the 1980’s and 90’s. Generations of families have raised their children here, some whom have returned to raise children of their own right here in Roxshire!
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
For over five decades families have called Roxshire home. Roxshire is a special place where neighbors genuinely care for and look after one another. The Roxshire Civic Association is a group of neighborhood volunteers who work to maintain a sense of community and uphold the standards laid out in the covenants and by-laws.
The Roxshire Civic Association also organizes several annual events and oversees the maintenance and upkeep of our two neighborhood entrances. We also distribute luminaries which are displayed on Christmas Eve.
We encourage all neighbors to join the Roxshire Civic Association to help us maintain our wonderful community. Civic associations do not mandate membership, and consist of neighbor volunteers who give their time and energy to bring us closer together. We keep the cost of dues reasonable since we have a very limited scope of function. If you haven’t already, please join today.
